This is a picture from a hospital bed. The only thing I was semi looking forward to when I went into hospital was to update my blog with a pair of hospital compression stockings. Yes that’s how sad I am. So this is what was presented to me. A green toeless pair, that I had on for three days. At first, I didn’t realise they were toeless. Due to my short legs the nurses didn’t pull them up to reveal the toeless feature, so for two days I thought I’d punctured a hole in them with my big toe and […]
Falke Squiggly Rose design. I don’t think they have names for their hosiery. These are in “stone”, so a dark grey with an even darker swirl which then developes into a squiggly rose. Falke are wonderfully comfortable hosiery maker. With an always luxurious soft feel. The patterns are forever special. Hopefully you can see the close up. I should really have taken a picture of the reverse side because that was interesting.
So this pair of Next ribbed tights are the last of the batch of tights I bought from the bargain bucket at Next. Brown ribbed did very well. It was a bit chilly and I needed a bit of warmth and the straight ribbed design always gives the appearance of longer legs.
I am retracing missed opportunities. My phone died on me a few weeks ago and after reinstalling it I lost a couple of pictures. One was a rewear so no need to panic and the other was a record of when I wore a pair of Vera Wang, SimplyVera tights “cluster rose”. They were good. Not specifically a control top pair but with enough lycra to suck you in a little. The pattern was a black rose/floral design on a nude background. Quite an bold look. I thought I would have to schedule another wear as soon as I was […]
In the words of Elsa, when you are confined to the house just leg it go! I am butting in with this post and proudly presenting you with my third leg. Hmmm, if your friend has just had a major operation and is recuperating at home, what do you get them? Well my friends get me a display mannequin leg and I love it. I had a rather scary moment when I opened it. My thoughts were “How do I get these potential serial killers out of my house!” and “do they know something about my treatment that I don’t?” […]
What a treat, spots in a row! This pair is from my China batch. Coming up to operation time , my belly was bloated and the only tights comfortable enough for me to wear were brand new pairs. The spots on these are big and quite fun. The stocking of sheer variety. Problems occurred later in the day when they got a bit tighter around the stomach region and they fell a bit.
Next Next spots are me third offering from my treasures I got a week ago. The spots are fairly large and against the tan/natural background they stood out really well. They were described at work as a daring pair of tights but they obviously hadn’t been witness to my numerous other offerings which I do consider daring and wacky and out of this world. With a reinforced toe they were comfortable and I have been chuffed to bits with this magical hoarde I bought.
Orange tartan! I hear you all splutter. But no, they really worked. Part of my Next bargain buys, they were really soft with that comfy cosy feel. I really loved them so don’t knock it until you’ve had a go yourself.
Remember the batch of tights from China, well this one demonstrating spiraling dots was the latest I wore. They feel nice, good sheer. No sagginess, strong tension on the leg. Pattern is fun. Price was ideal BUT too much downward pull, super hero over pants are required.
Fancy a bit of deep sea disco fishing. Pink fishnets! Did I want to make a statement today or what. These are Philippe Matignon, macro fishnet elasticated matt tights. I’m not sure people noticed them with my long skirt but then again I’m not sure if it’s because they had noticed them but were too embarrassed to mention them. (My skirt did have a side split) That’s the effect fishnets have on people. Are they too sexy to comment on? This is what sexy looks like… and this is what unsexy looks like. 😆 I had doubts about their comfort […]
