Fun with Falke
I’m having fun with Falke today. These were gratefully supplied by luxury legs. I won a competition and these were the prize. Micronet tights.
As with all Falke hosiery, they have a good wide waistband providing a very comfortable all day wear.
I do have to wear additional socks to stop my feet from rubbing, but that’s just me.

Delayed hosiery
Here’s some delayed hosiery on display. I’ve cheated a bit this year and thought I’d try a different tactic. Previously I’d post with fresh pictures and a rushed blurb just before setting off to work. This year I’ve delayed posting and thought I’d save time by scheduling them. Both methods have their good points but today’s post will highlight a bad point of the scheduled method. These tights were worn five months ago!
These are Falke “anthra new”. A raised lined pattern, ridges I suppose in a not really black, not really grey but slate colour. They were lovely, soft, warm, comfortable.

Falke Squiggly Rose
Falke Squiggly Rose design. I don’t think they have names for their hosiery. These are in “stone”, so a dark grey with an even darker swirl which then developes into a squiggly rose. Falke are wonderfully comfortable hosiery maker. With an always luxurious soft feel. The patterns are forever special.
Hopefully you can see the close up. I should really have taken a picture of the reverse side because that was interesting.

Fabulous Falke
Fabulous Falke tights today. I’ve tagged them as purple but the actual colour is violetta. I always forget how comfortable Falke hoseiry is. The waistband is wide and is name marked. The colour seemed dark in the shade but when the sun came out they shone with a warm violet. Beautiful!
The toes were supposed to look like this,
with a slight reinforcement but with my feet and that funny walk I have, it didn’t take long before this happened
and I got strangled toes. That’s the problem with fishnets. The hole size of this pair of tights were not as cauterising as some so not a big fault. Please excuse the neglected toe nails, did I ever tell you I’m really lazy!

What to wear when it rains
What to wear when it rains, well the answer to that is TIGHTS! So I thought the summer was well and truly here but this wet stuff called rain always gets in the way and spoils my attempts to get rid of my Vitamin D deficiency, oh well, I’ll just have to keep taking the tablets.
Burlington hosiery, part of the Falke name. No name for the pattern but they are a grey checked “argyle”.
Nice diamond detail on the waistband and a wide waistband for added comfort.
I knew it was going to be a bad day when I put my fingers through them as I was putting them on, luckily it was near the top and so my dress covered the hole up. However, the bad luck was not restricted to just my hole, they do fall these tights and so a little pulling up was required during the day. That’s the worse of my luck so not really such a bad pair of hosiery really.

Christmas Eve
Yippee, it’s Christmas Eve and I’m doing my best to look like an incognito elf with these stripy red and orange Falke woolley tights. Hope it’s going to be a cold day because they do keep me rather warm. My 5 foot frame doesn’t help with my whole sophisticated elf look because they also have a tendency to fall and gather at the ankle. So I’ll look like Nora Batty trying to look like an elf.

Blue Nostalgia
These are Falke tights, blue with a zigzag pattern. I’ve called this post Blue Nostalgia because I first wore them on my holiday to Vancouver last November. Ahhh the memories! From a distance, and before your eyes start playing visual tricks, the zigzags look like checks to me.
Ok, a different view. I think you’ll agree that my legs DO look like I’m six foot tall. Not! The best things come in small packages.
