Too many pairs!
I have too many pairs! I have to post quite a few rewears and I need to stop buying new ones. My source of retail therapy gone, what can I shop for now? Ahhhhhhh!
My problem with repeat wear posting is my laziness. I grab the nearest store of tights and pick a random pair. This means the nearest store isn’t the box where I’ve painstakingly collected toilet rolls and carefully inserted a pair of freshly laundered hosiery and then meticulously labelled with brand and name. It’s the latest pile of clean tights that are waiting to be catalogued on my spare bed or stuffed into a carrier bag under the bed because I’ve had overnight visitors. So my rewears tend to be recent posts themselves. If I’m organised, which I’m sure I will be, they will be from vintage posts. Well that’s what I’ll be planning.
So here is Oroblu Lucilla, chosen via the first method. Nearest, appropriate clean pair. Blog “Oroblu weather” on the 21st March 2018,

Leg Warmers, I’m making them hip for next season
Leg Warmers, I’m making them hip for next season. I’ve always been ahead of the style curve, so hip that no one really notices that the trends of today, I was seeking or wearing a few years ago. Maybe that should possibly push me into the eccentric world rather the trendsetter circle. Hmmm!
Sooo, what’s with the leg warmers? Have I taken up fitness… no. Have I become obsessed with nostalgia and started to binge watch old series of Fame… no, even though I do fly! Do I have a friend as mad as me who challenged me to knit my own but then went out to get me some to make me feel better… yes!!! Like me she’s a girl with the same trendsetter (eccentric) style, and bought me bright, wacky, stripey designs. So everyday I got a special package in the post. Now I will be the brightest patient on the chemo ward! Thank you to my lovely, good friend Maz!!!

Monochrome Stripes
Matching monochrome stripes today. Ok maybe not the ones I’m wearing but certainly the small version are. Again modelled by my 6 year old niece, a fetching pair of tights for her Book Week “The Worse Witch” costume.
Mine, were part of a Christmas present package. They had an impressive wide waistband for comfort. Quite stretchy. Good!

Trasparenze Show
Do you remember these Trasparenze Show tights? Well if you don’t here they are. A beautiful pair of hosiery that just finishes off an outfit. The flowers are gorgeous and you do feel that bit more special when you wear them.
Halfway through the day, I realised I hadn’t photographed the feet so please excuse their hairiness. This is what happens when you decide to have the most hirsute canine in the world.
These pictures might be very similar to the original post but I have to show you all views to completely admire these to the full.

Before Iceland
Before Iceland, my 2016 holiday.
It looks like Iceland is the “in” place to go for a holiday and not boasting, this coming trip will be my second. However the days leading up to a visit to the land of fire and ice proved good practise for me. It got cold here in the UK! I had to pull out my woolliest tights which meant all those season award winners had to take a back seat and the elements took precedence. This is one of my standard winter pairs of hosiery worn last year under Winter’s Coming in October, and even though they are starting to look a bit worse for wear with a bit of thinning and the elastic is tightening and so they have shrunk a bit and fall down and crotches are likely to be found around knee level, they look wintery and keep me warm. This may be their last year.

Skull socks
Skulls socks today, since you and I have established that socks are indeed part of the hosiery family. 😆
I’ve had these for years. Bought off the local market. I wear socks when it’s cold but I don’t want to feel too imprisoned. Being on my feet all day has caused my calves to be comparatively muscular and large so I do feel that socks do get a bit stretched over that area. Just me being self concious, but it’s never stopped me developing the hoseoffun style.

Colours define the mood
Isn’t it funny how colours define the mood. I participated in a poll recently conducted by annie@lingeriebound on the colour of hosiery for valentines, which was sexier red or black? Black won if you wanted to know. This led to me connecting my thinkings with how colours are associated with mood. I wore these today, Trasparenze holdups, Tracee pattern in cream. A floral lace design with a slight lacetop and backseam. The comments were good and bought a sense of nostalgia to my colleagues. However if they were in black the consensus would have been how sexy they were and a few raised eyebrows. So isn’t it funny that colour defines what you think and feel?

Combat cold
To combat cold I’m wearing thick woolly tights. These are grey with white and red specks. With a formed foot there’s always the right way when I’m putting them on. Part of my “before blog” collection so no make or brand.

Tied Up – Trasparenze Chelsea Holdups
Looks like I’m a bit tied up with this pair of holdups called Chelsea. The pattern resembles a rope wrapping round the whole leg in a interlinking wavy way. The tops are slighty lacy with a good amount of clingy rubber to provide them with gravity defying properties. They stayed in position all day with no feeling of any looseness or slippage. They are white and I mean very white so at times I felt a bit clownish but that’s due to me not wearing coloured tights very often and having to have an extra long work day I also put on shoes that didn’t match the outfit. However, I can always count on Trasparenze to provide comfortable and fun hosiery.
