holdups

Package from Mayfair!
Package from Mayfair! Followers I have been shopping. I am preparing myself for next year!!
I got this yesterday and opened it to find,
Thoughtfully wrapped to protect my delicates. It was like Christmas day all over!
It seems a shame to not to keep them in this way, I had to rip open all this beautiful packaging to reveal what was inside,
Thank you Mayfair Stockings! I am sure this is the beginning of a fulfilling relationship.

Ballerina boo hoo
Ballerina boo hoo, had a bit of a cry when I put these on this morning. They came with a small ladder.
I still wore them for the day and they will hold long enough to wash and wear again. Luckily for me the ladder is contained.
So this pair of Ballerina hosiery art 285, consists of a general swirly pattern which winds from the foot, along the both sides of the leg and all the way to the thigh.
The pattern at the front waved round to the leg which then troughed at the back.
Beautiful stockings with, I hope you can see, glitter thread encased in the stitching

Ballerina 127
Ballerina 127, sorry for the lack of imaginative title but this post is a bit late and a bit late in the day too. Lots of pictures though to show off all the features.
So Ballerina hosiery 127 hold ups, in black sheer with a lacetops
a lovely floral and cross hatch pattern.
Followed by mock suspenders,
leading to a side pattern which is both on inside and outside leg and a garland knee pattern encircling the knee.
I had major problems with them falling down. Not sure if this was because they have been frozen or if due to adjustment to get the correct positioning that I over fuzzed the glue. My advice is to not use a wet paper towel to clean the glue but a wet sponge, as the better option.
Finally one last view

Veneziana Fishnet Holdups
I wore Veneziana fishnet holdups yesterday and they did what they said on the tin. Sophisticated and glamourous without trying too hard. As expected a floral lacetop adding to the hidden sexiness.
I love fishnets especially now they’re being a bit more inventive with patterns but looking at past posts and examining the pictures, can I really tell one pair of fishnets from another?

Happy Valentine’s Day
Happy Valentine’s Day, when it gets here on Sunday. Back to the traditional sexy, impress your other half garb today with these Ballerina brand hold ups bought from a wonderful shop called mystockings, please have a look at their things, I haven’t lately because it would mean adding to my hosiery mountain.
So Ballerina Noir Touch collection Art number 189 “Stunning black hold ups with faux suspender design. Delicate detailing around the top and down the side of the leg in red and black, giving the illusion of a zip running the full length of the leg.” As described by mystockings, don’t they sound luscious!
I have had a bit of a hosiery malfucntion today with this particular pair losing stickiness and falling down. Not sure if that was because of fluff or because of my short legs (I’m sure the mock suspender look isn’t supposed to start at the knee area) and therefore positioning of the holdup. They’re of a higher denier so possibly weight pulling them down?
Ballerina hosiery is part of one of my ongoing research projects to test the freezing theory. I’ve managed to have them in the freezer for an hour before wear for these. So far I’ve not laddered or holed these frozen tights but it might be because I’m handling with care.

Gabriella fishnet holdups
I bought these Gabriella fishnet holdups (calze model 153) because I wanted a large holed fishnet pattern. These fit the requirements perfectly and from one of my favourite suppliers, mystockings. I was a bit worried about toe strangulation
but the holes are big enough not to give that sensation even though my toes were through the net. They produce a really seductive look and a nostalgic glamour that some older ladies reminisce about. The floral lacetop is rather pretty too.

Colours define the mood
Isn’t it funny how colours define the mood. I participated in a poll recently conducted by annie@lingeriebound on the colour of hosiery for valentines, which was sexier red or black? Black won if you wanted to know. This led to me connecting my thinkings with how colours are associated with mood. I wore these today, Trasparenze holdups, Tracee pattern in cream. A floral lace design with a slight lacetop and backseam. The comments were good and bought a sense of nostalgia to my colleagues. However if they were in black the consensus would have been how sexy they were and a few raised eyebrows. So isn’t it funny that colour defines what you think and feel?

Too long for this lady
These holdups were too long for this lady today. Can you see the excess material just below the thigh top? So after a day long wear, there was a lot of wrinkling at the ankles and the knees. A s/m size pair of thigh highs from Primark. Really nice presentation though with black on skin tram lines at the top and thick black lycra on the leg.
