Remember my short legs

I remember my short legs just about every time I wear a “one” size pair of hosiery. This again was another one of those times.

This is a pair of Aristoc “one” size, all over lace tights. A pattern of swirling florals dancing on a grid base.

If my left leg wasn’t encased in a tourniquet every time I pulled up, they were comfy tights. I wasn’t even aware of the wrinkly ankles at the end of the day.

Marylin natta

Good news these Marylin natta D17 tights are the last stored posts I’ve got and so the next post will be back to normal business and I’ve timed it just right for the new season. Check out the contrasting garter with grid  and swirl pattern.

Light as a feather

As light as a feather. This is Ballerina 135, a light weight hosiery, just right for me when the weather isn’t quite cold but chilly enough. I needed a bit of glamour that day too so these were perfect. A grid base with a side pattern and garter effect of a swirl flourish possibly flowery design.

Pretty in socks

I am pretty in socks today. Gotcha! Not real socks. These are Pretty Polly secret socks. Sock like material for the sick bit and a nice soft denier feel for the grid pattern top bit. Lovely and comfortable even though on second look they are a ML size rather than an SM. Think the socks helped by being socks and staying quite firmly in place just under the knee. The description call them “secret” because you can hideaway the sock underneath a pair of boots but why would you want to do that, ay?

Dots, I’m not so keen

Spots, I like, dots, I’m not so keen. Last post I mentioned the adoration of a spot pattern. Today it’s dots. Now you may think they are the same thing but they don’t make my heart and eyes enlarge in the same way a spot design does. Maybe it’s because I’m quite short sighted and to be able to appreciate the pattern I have to get quite close and stare.

This pair has been designed to be a little bit more interesting by adding a grid feature. From my China batch!

More hearts?

More hearts? Yes more hearts or mouse ears?

These are hearts and before you say they’re the same as “When Love means love” hearts, they are not. Those were a single plain heart motif, these are a single heart motif and if you look closely with a grid background. I keep saying this but from my big internet batch. ( I still have many so not the last one). They had the same features as the others, good sheer material and toe reinforcing, with the not so good features, the slightly indefined pattern when stretched and the slippage if you don’t wear your superman pants over them.

Gabriella holdups Alta

Today’s pic is of Gabriella holdups Alta. Black holdup stockings with a wide grid lacetop and geometric backseam pattern.

I loved the wideness of the lacetop.

Package from Mayfair!

Package from Mayfair! Followers I have been shopping. I am preparing myself for next year!!

I got this yesterday and opened it to find,

Thoughtfully wrapped to protect my delicates. It was like Christmas day all over!

It seems a shame to not to keep them in this way, I had to rip open all this beautiful packaging to reveal what was inside,

Thank you Mayfair Stockings! I am sure this is the beginning of a fulfilling relationship.

The Joy of Yesterday

The joy of yesterday was not that it was a trouser day but if you’re a follower on instagram you will have seen I got a package from mystockings. It’s so exciting to get individually wrapped gifts eventhough you know what they are.

And once unwrapped, the planning starts… when do I wear? What shoes? What clothes?

So from this collection I’ve chosen to wear Bacara tights  by Gabriella. A 20 denier, black grid square pattern. Oooh ‘eck, I hope I don’t ladder them and I haven’t had the chance or memory to try the freezer method of ladder prevention.
