Light as a feather
As light as a feather. This is Ballerina 135, a light weight hosiery, just right for me when the weather isn’t quite cold but chilly enough. I needed a bit of glamour that day too so these were perfect. A grid base with a side pattern and garter effect of a swirl flourish possibly flowery design.
What a great pattern!
What a great pattern! These are fantastic! One of my Christmas presents from my good friend JC. She done well. All the tights she got me have been gorgeous and just what this blog is about.
I don’t know what, who they are but I love the pattern of everything. There’s swirls, flowers, holes. So much to take in. A great pair of fishnets.
I’m causing a stir
I’m causing a stir with these Gipsy Cyclone tights. What a great design! The black on near skin effect of the pattern really make it stand out and the spacing between lines stops it from being boring.
Falke Squiggly Rose
Falke Squiggly Rose design. I don’t think they have names for their hosiery. These are in “stone”, so a dark grey with an even darker swirl which then developes into a squiggly rose. Falke are wonderfully comfortable hosiery maker. With an always luxurious soft feel. The patterns are forever special.
Hopefully you can see the close up. I should really have taken a picture of the reverse side because that was interesting.
Ballerina boo hoo
Ballerina boo hoo, had a bit of a cry when I put these on this morning. They came with a small ladder.
I still wore them for the day and they will hold long enough to wash and wear again. Luckily for me the ladder is contained.
So this pair of Ballerina hosiery art 285, consists of a general swirly pattern which winds from the foot, along the both sides of the leg and all the way to the thigh.
The pattern at the front waved round to the leg which then troughed at the back.
Beautiful stockings with, I hope you can see, glitter thread encased in the stitching
On the Fourth day of Christmas
On the fourth day of Christmas… (or is this the third? No no no, I’ve sussed it we are at the ninth or tenth day of Christmas and it’s not a run down it’s a run up. I’m taking the twelveth day as Christmas day itself because that’s when you get all the presents.) Three work days till Christmas so I have lined up three special pairs of tights, well two and then an Angela choice one and then a pair for the big day itself.
So today’s offering is the Angela’s choice. A sexy patterned back seamed pair called Debby by Gabriella. A squiggly line down the back and then plain on the front. Silky to touch and a general solid feel to them. No slipping down but a little bit of movement to the side so the seam wasn’t quite as straight at the end of the day.
A Quiet Week
A quiet week on the hosiery wearing front. It’s been bitterly cold and us brits don’t like dramatic changes in weather.
Cette tights from their Fun range called Tulsa. As you can just see a fine netlike pair of hosiery with a swirl line design. I’m always feel a bit “pfiff” when I see tights like these but they always impress me by the end of the day. They always stay put, I never need to pull them up or feel they’re slipping down. They are comfortable and they’re strong. I think I always feel they won’t be sturdy but they are. They are 40 denier so that explains their toughness but they look like a lower denier so that’s probably why I think they’re delicate.
