Giulia Mona tights with a nose
I wore these Giulia Mona tights today which has a floral mock stocking top and floral ankle detail. I got the added surprise which tickled my nose, the hosiery were perfumed with a rose scent. The tights were great but I wasn’t too keen on the smell. Not sure if this is a brand speciality or an extra for just this pair of rose patterned hose.

Bows All Over
Bows All Over these Pamela Mann tights. I really like this brand. I think they’re bold and funky and I love their range of patterns. They try to fit all sizes but that means their “one” size tights are too long for me and their small size is also too long for me. I experienced a lot of wrinkling at the knee today but I love, love their style so that will conquer all and I will keep wearing them.

Dogtooth?!
These were described on the packet as “dogtooth pattern” and only after staring at it for hours do I even get a hint of dog tooth. I initially thought it was a rusched effect with the darker areas being a bit of gathered material and on inspection the pattern is just a really clever way of the weave. When the tights are fresh on they feel great. Comfortable and sturdy and sleek, but when up and about doing daily chores they did slip and start to fall, quite drastically if I’m going to be honest. I have to wear my tights quite high on the waist and I frequently felt these way below my belly button and with the desire to go even furthur. I love the pattern and the sleekness of the hosiery but I need a better balance of sleekness to slippage if I’m going to rate these higher.

Atmospheric florals
What do I mean by atmospheric florals? Well I am sporting a pair of floral “fashion” tights from Primark and their brand name for some of their own brand products is “Atmosphere” so because I’m a master of puns, today’s post is named atmospheric florals.
A nice pretty pattern not dissimilar to yesterday’s Morrisons hosiery. Different material and first thoughts are that they aren’t as long so maybe a better fit for us height restricted ladies.

Fluffy Tights
I am wearing today (actually yesterday) this delightful pair of fluffy tights. Kidding you! I was wearing a pair of plain opaque black tights by MeMoi which I was testing the control tops – see previous post. I did say this was a blog about all my patterned tights but I didn’t want to discriminate against this plain black pair! This is why I stay away from non-patterns, the amount of fluff that collects on them and there isn’t a distraction. I end up looking like my shaggy dog, Dennis.
As for the control tops, the patterned herringbones from the previous day weren’t that controlly. They were comfortable and stayed up with no double, triple, quadruple tummy roll effect. The plain black ones were definitely control tops with a pretty good amount of elastic in them, they kept falling and yes I also got the tummy roll effect.
Thanks to www.tightsup.dk for the pic above!

Herringbone Ladder
Thought I’d keep it relatively simple today with this pair of herringbone ladder pattern tights. I needed a well defined pattern running all the way along the length of the leg which wasn’t too busy or complicated to go with my knee high boots and short dress combo today, which is exactly what this pair of hosiery by MeMoi provides. They are soft and comfortable and supposedly control topped, but I’ll let you know how that goes towards the end of the day.

The great Tom Jones
It’s always a pleasure to keep having the great Tom Jones playing in your brain all day. Thanks to these tights for making this possible. The main picture is the back view of this clever bit of hosiery and this is the front,
I bought these a couple of years ago from Asos and they are great fun. Shaped pseudostockings, quite original.

Dotty about hosiery
It’s fair to say I’m dotty about hosiery! Five months on and about eighty eight pairs of hoseiry later, I’m still showing you my tights and I’ve still got some to keep showing you.
Today’s pair is this polka dot mock sock by Pamela Mann. Kept me warm and eventhough my skirt hid the mock sock, it was fun knowing they were there. My only criticism is that they came in the universal “one size” which meant that they were more like mock stockings than mock socks on me and they were a bit long in the leg which meant quite a bit of pulling up to avoid wrinkles at the ankle and knee. This does mean that after a wash I will have, yes I know, I will have to review these again to see if there is any shrinkage and if there is, will this improve my overall comfort.

Happy Valentine’s Day
Happy Valentine’s Day, when it gets here on Sunday. Back to the traditional sexy, impress your other half garb today with these Ballerina brand hold ups bought from a wonderful shop called mystockings, please have a look at their things, I haven’t lately because it would mean adding to my hosiery mountain.
So Ballerina Noir Touch collection Art number 189 “Stunning black hold ups with faux suspender design. Delicate detailing around the top and down the side of the leg in red and black, giving the illusion of a zip running the full length of the leg.” As described by mystockings, don’t they sound luscious!
I have had a bit of a hosiery malfucntion today with this particular pair losing stickiness and falling down. Not sure if that was because of fluff or because of my short legs (I’m sure the mock suspender look isn’t supposed to start at the knee area) and therefore positioning of the holdup. They’re of a higher denier so possibly weight pulling them down?
Ballerina hosiery is part of one of my ongoing research projects to test the freezing theory. I’ve managed to have them in the freezer for an hour before wear for these. So far I’ve not laddered or holed these frozen tights but it might be because I’m handling with care.

Love Pamela Mann
Today’s Valentines special are Love Pamela Mann tights and love Pamela Mann everyone should. They have a range of fantastic designs which can be as outgoing as you want to be. This pair “signature love seamed” is exactly what it says on the tin! A black back seamed with the signature “love” and a bow to tie everything up at the bottom. Another perfect addition to a special day going out outfit.
