Next Spree
Just before Christmas I went and had a Next spree. The local outlet store sells discounted hosiery for £1 a pair so I bought five or six. They’re great, patterned and some unusual colours too. This is one of them. A cream coloured crocheted holey pair. Warm, comfy, think I wore them that really cold spell just before Christmas. Did the trick. Here’s a
close up.

Secrets of hosiery
Today I’m goiung to reveal one of the secrets of hosiery.
This is what goes on behind the doors of a hosiery wearer. Yes extra socks to prevent lace tights from rubbing my feet. I usually forget to do this and end up with sore feet for the next day. I tend to find the brightest coloured socks in an un contrastiung pattern to not match my tights. Hey, I’m not going to pretend they’re not there.
These tights are my second pair of Golden Lady floral lace. This time given to me by my pal LT, the first sadly died when I applied too much pressure and pushed my hand through them. They are an ace clear pattern and because of the material, feels crochet-ee keep you warm in autumn weather.

What a great pattern!
What a great pattern! These are fantastic! One of my Christmas presents from my good friend JC. She done well. All the tights she got me have been gorgeous and just what this blog is about.
I don’t know what, who they are but I love the pattern of everything. There’s swirls, flowers, holes. So much to take in. A great pair of fishnets.

Faux Christmas
This is my faux Christmas post. As I have mentioned before I am either still in hospital or I’ve been allowed to go home and heal, both situations are not ideal for hosiery wearing so this post was aptly chosen for the yuletide edition because of their cheekiness. They bring a little cheer into your lives.
Legsavenue “Hardcore net pantyhose” it says on the packet. Quite comfortable, gorgeous design. A crochet style fishnet creating a diamond, criss cross pattern. Having such big holes made them a bit difficult to put on with the holes becoming tourniquets on my toes. Then the interesting bit came along, a slight change in weave. The toes became a smaller fishnet which more or less worked to save my digits but with a bit of wriggling and stretching I did get a couple of strangled toe moments. They are not a thin thread but a thick string so still felt very warming despite the gigantic fishnet holes.

CK back again
CK back again for a gin night out. These crochet patterned CK tights are lovely. I like them a lot. They can be very warming
and I have been struggling with this sudden cold weather. I just can’t get warm. Eventhough fishnets look very draughty I’ve always found them to be able to resist the cold. That’s clever sceince that is!

Freezing Weather Tights
These are definitely freezing weather tights. Posted last year these Via Spiga tights have featured a few times. The first as the warmest tights in the world, next as a base for one of my upcycling projects and then just with Dennis when I did a couple of re-wears. They are very warm but rather than being just a plain opaque pair of black tights, they are just that little bit more exciting with their woollen crochet look.

Crochet Floral Fishnets
These crochet floral fishnets and the diamond patterned fishnets have been a surprisingly successful. Bought from a discount hardware store they have been been excellent value.
They are Golden Lady and this pair consist of a floral pattern
and the most impressive bit was the reinforced toes to stop them getting strangled!
