Non slippage
Have I achieved the impossible by finding non slippage footsies that actually don’t slip?
These are Calvin Klein toeless yoga socks. They have a sole grip and individual toes.
When my mum visited Japan a few years ago she bought a pair of toed socks and told me how comfortable they were and how they fit her extremely small feet so well. I put it down to the toes. When I found these in tkmaxx, I thought I should consumer test them and then possibly buy more as presents.
I’m not keen on in-betweeny toes bits on flip flops so was a bit apprehensive. Quite comfortable, not much slippage. I will have to try different shoe heights to confirm but with a pair of inch and a half ankle boots, they didn’t move.
I liked them and they were an interesting conversation starter with everyone I showed!
So did I achieve the impossible. No. I thought I had, but on reflection these are not footsies. They are socks. My mission is still alive and kicking!

My Favourite Footsie
Having moaned about my footsie, I’m going to show you my favourite footsie. Got these from Asos a couple of years ago and I love ’em. The cat and dog odd sock pattern is so fun!
And look how they fit snuggly into my shoes and peek through the window. I still get slippage but heigh ho, I’m a sucker for uniqueness.

Footsie Problems
I am not learning any lessons from my footsie problems.
So what are my footsie problems? During the summer months I don’t wear tights. The problem with summer is that I don’t always wear sandals or open toe shoes so what do I wear to protect my shoes from sweaty, sticky feet. Aha! Footsies! I have bought numerous pairs of footsies and each time I’ve sworn not to buy any more. I am very stubborn and cannot take that for an answer. There must be something wrong about the way I’m wearing footsies and I must find out to make them work. Which is why I keep buying them and then give them away.
I get major slippage! Within a few minutes the heel of the footsie has come loose and there’s great discomfort with sticky bare heels and a gathering of material under your arches. I’ve even got a pair that has some rubber on the back of ankle area in the attempt to stop the damn thing from moving. Do they work, not on your nelly!
