Light as a feather

As light as a feather. This is Ballerina 135, a light weight hosiery, just right for me when the weather isn’t quite cold but chilly enough. I needed a bit of glamour that day too so these were perfect. A grid base with a side pattern and garter effect of a swirl flourish possibly flowery design.

“Oroblu Miss”ed me

Over the Summer months I’ve “Oroblu Miss”ed me looking at all the beautiful hosiery I could buy. Granted Summer probably isn’t the season for tights so the range of designs has been a bit sparse. I did manage to grab some out of season specials so all was not lost.

I got these out and look at the detail! A dotted waist band and a faux panty line for modesty, just in case you’ve spend all your money on silly expensive tights and none on knickers. I was impressed a nice, flash touch I thought.

These are Oroblu “Miss” tights with a clever barbed wire design made up of spots and stripes and a polka dot garter pattern with a bow round the back just to add a little more femininity.

They were lovely. Great design, hidden specials and they felt smooth and silky due to their sheer quality.

I did get a shock at the end of the day. My dress was silky and lined but I found some snags in them… Here on the left leg. I don’t remember them when I put them on and because they are such a well made hosiery I don’t remember having to pull them up either. I must, I must moisturise my hands. It’s the only thing I can muster that could possibly cause this damage, dry skin!

Ballerina boo hoo

Ballerina boo hoo, had a bit of a  cry when I put these on this morning. They came with a small ladder.

I still wore them for the day and they will hold long enough to wash and wear again. Luckily for me the ladder is contained.

So this pair of Ballerina hosiery art 285, consists of a general swirly pattern which winds from the foot, along the both sides of the leg and all the way to the thigh.

The pattern at the front waved round to the leg which then troughed at the back.

Beautiful stockings with, I hope you can see, glitter thread encased in the stitching

Adrian Lora

Had a bit of fun with Adrian Lora tights today. Check out the back

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day, when it gets here on Sunday. Back to the traditional sexy, impress your other half garb today with these Ballerina brand hold ups bought from a wonderful shop called mystockings, please have a look at their things, I haven’t lately because it would mean adding to my hosiery mountain.

So Ballerina Noir Touch collection Art number 189 “Stunning black hold ups with faux suspender design. Delicate detailing around the top and down the side of the leg in red and black, giving the illusion of a zip running the full length of the leg.” As described by mystockings, don’t they sound luscious!

I have had a bit of a hosiery malfucntion today with this particular pair losing stickiness and falling down. Not sure if that was because of fluff or because of my short legs (I’m sure the mock suspender look isn’t supposed to start at the knee area) and therefore positioning of the holdup. They’re of a higher denier so possibly weight pulling them down?

Ballerina hosiery is part of one of my ongoing research projects to test the freezing theory. I’ve managed to have them in the freezer for an hour before wear for these. So far I’ve not laddered or holed these frozen tights but it might be because I’m handling with care.

Fiore Havana

Tights of the day Fiore Havana.  A picture of the back to follow later but at the moment content yourself with a view of the garter effect top and as much of the back I can get in by using my contortionist abilities.

My back view will look very much like this…

Good silky smooth feel to them and at 20 denier they feel strong enough to withstand any vigorous movements.

Wolford Spring Leaf

Last of the garter effect tights until I get some more. I probably should wear these in the right season but I think Autumn leaf would fit too. Today’s tights of the day are Wolford Spring Leaf. Which are black and spotty fishnets with a leaf design for the garter effect. These are also in XS size which I don’t usually find so I’ll let you know if these fit better for my 5 foot and half an inch stature.

Garter Number 2

So did you guess the theme this week, it is garter tights. I like it when something is hidden and only I know is there. Makes me smile and so I can brighten people’s lives!
