holdups

Rare warmer day
On a rare warmer day I wore these gorgeous Le Bourget LDC hold ups. They are a silky sheer stocking with a wide red and black lace stocking top. Good hold, very comfortable and very pretty. I wore Le Bourget hosiery before with a pair of tattoo print from collants.fr and was impressed by the feel and the comfort of this brand. I can assure you it’s a quality that is consistent with their products.
Hope the carousel pictures aren’t too blurry.

Cotton Soft Stockings
I wore these cotton soft stockings or holdups by Aristoc. They come in a 10 denier but it felt higher. The matt finish just felt so soft and cottony. The simple tramline top kept everything classy and the silicon backing just held like glue. When I first put them on I thought I might lose feeling in my legs but that settled and I just felt confident that I didn’t have any dropping issues.

Backed up with Laces and Bows
She turned her back and left in a flurry of laces and bows. That’s the effect I would have had if I were a heroine in a novel. These are Gabriella Carla holdups, received from legitup. A stunning looking pair of holdups with a lacey top, block black colour and revealing backs. The pattern of laces and bows had a little sparkle. They were comfortable and my only niggle was the silicon strip wasn’t very sticky. I had to endure quite a bit of cleaning (of the strip) and pulling up (of the stocking). This I think led to the pattern movement so the backs became the sides, if you get my meaning. Always looking for an excuse, because none of my hosiery is bad, they were new – and I had moisturised – so maybe that’s why they became unstuck.

Laziness is not a good virtue
Laziness is not a good virtue. It makes me feel so guilty. I have commited the crime twice with this post!
I have not posted for a few days and it’s not because I haven’t worn tights. It’s due to laziness.
I wore these because they were simple to pick out of storage and due to laziness I haven’t sorted out all the award winners and runner ups I want to re wear because they are my winners and runner ups.
So here are a pair of Primark tramline hold ups. A plain black stocking with a simple tramline silicon top that have been worn before. Bad points. They were too long. I had a lot of bagginess around the knee and ankle and if I stretched them to fit my leg it would mean the stocking top would need to cover my bum. Instead they had to sit as close to my nether regions as possible. Not a good stocking look, they didn’t have that area of bare skin that is a good stocking look. Good bits about them which was how I felt the first time around. The simplicity of the tramlines, clean and straight, very business like. Also the silicon top. It holds! These suckers had staying power.

Diamonds are Forever
Diamonds are forever! Double diamonds today with this pair of diamond net holdups with diamond backseam by Leg Avenue. Again no silicon and so using spandex (is this elastic?) they held up by the power of strangulation.
It’s a day of doubles because as well as cutting off the circulation to my legs the effect was replicated at the toes when they got tangled up in the net.
They should look like the top with a comfortable covering of the toes keeping them neat and tidy but instead they sneakily slipped and the net provided a very efficient tourniquet for all five toes.
Fishnets are always sexy and the diamond backs are super cool, breaking up the mesh pattern creating a more interesting look. They were comfortable, it’s just I don’t like being squashed and getting overheated on another day that started wet and horrible.
As in the case of all my posts, it is not easy to look this good! 😉

Oroblu floral ladders
The weather went cold AGAIN last week and I had to break into my secret stash and wear these marvellous holdups. Oroblu, Extase, a “tulle-based lace effect stay-up stockings.” With “a delicate, vertical floral pattern alternates with polka dots.”
“Finished with an elegant lace top.”
They were fantastic. They looked great and they stayed up all day. The pattern is very pretty and with a bit of shuffling, I suppose you could rotate them round and make them seem like you have several different pairs of tights. You know one day the flowers are on the side, the next the ladder, polka dots are there instead.

Charnos Lacetop Holdups
I am wearing Charnos lacetop holdups, a sheer pair of hosiery which stay up well. This was a pack of two and I wore the first pair in January. I was quite impressed then and I still am. They had a silky touch and eventhough I worried that the lacetop was comparatively narrow, they stayed up all day without budging at all.

Charnos Ultra Sheer Holdups
Too warm for tights so wearing these Charnos Ultra Sheer Holdups today. They did what they said on the label. Ultra sheer brilliance. Such a silky, smooth finish, it was hard not to stroke them and to concentrate on work instead.
They were black 10 denier but due to the ssuper sheerness didn’t feel at all thin, flimsy or too delicate. They had reinforced toes
a plain smooth satin band.
Charnos have access to stretchline stay4sure silicon, which indeed stayed4sure. If these holdups were around at the time of the dinosaurs, when the dinosaurs mysteriously disappeared, the fossils found all those years later would still have these holdups intact and in position with their stay4sure technology!

Ballerina boo hoo
Ballerina boo hoo, had a bit of a cry when I put these on this morning. They came with a small ladder.
I still wore them for the day and they will hold long enough to wash and wear again. Luckily for me the ladder is contained.
So this pair of Ballerina hosiery art 285, consists of a general swirly pattern which winds from the foot, along the both sides of the leg and all the way to the thigh.
The pattern at the front waved round to the leg which then troughed at the back.
Beautiful stockings with, I hope you can see, glitter thread encased in the stitching
