sparkly

Next to shimmer
Next to shimmer! I got these in the Next outlet and they were a bargain price so I bought four pairs altogether, which I will be showcasing over the next few days. If your size is available, bargain buckets, outlet joints and sale items are my favourite haunts for tights. They are a treasure trove for unusally patterned hosiery or out of this world colours.
This shimmery blue pair provided a bit of glitter to my day. They were very scratchy due to the “glimmer” element. They did have a reinforced toe so at least the scratchiness did not affect the toes.

Primark Sparkly Bows
The cold has got me. I tried so hard to be fair and to wear my winners before resorting to the remainders but my winners didn’t win because they were thick winter barriers. I have had to delve to the bottom of the storage box and pull out a few cold friendlier tights. This pair was one of them, at least they had a bit of sparkle.

Ballerina boo hoo
Ballerina boo hoo, had a bit of a cry when I put these on this morning. They came with a small ladder.
I still wore them for the day and they will hold long enough to wash and wear again. Luckily for me the ladder is contained.
So this pair of Ballerina hosiery art 285, consists of a general swirly pattern which winds from the foot, along the both sides of the leg and all the way to the thigh.
The pattern at the front waved round to the leg which then troughed at the back.
Beautiful stockings with, I hope you can see, glitter thread encased in the stitching

Glitter Legs
I had glitter legs today and the effect was achieved by wearing a pair of Tesco, glitter tights. They sparkled and shimmered in the light. I was mesmerised by the colours it emitted. I could sit and watch the rainbows dance in front of my eyes for hours, like a moth to a light bulb.
BIG probem though, bagginess! You might be able to see the colours they produced but you might also be able to see my wrinkled ankles as well as my wrinkled knees, I felt like a newbie circus performer who’s been given the last acrobat’s full body leotard, baring in mind that I’m only 5 foot and the last performer’s inside leg length was 5 foot. I’m hoping a wash will shrink because as you can read the colours were fireflies foxtrotting in the garden of eden hypnotising simple folk like me.

APW Finale!
Animal print week, APW finale!!! Bet you didn’t guess it was going to be mermaid! Not sure if the tail should be on the back or front, finally after a bit of toing and froing, this and thating it’s been decided to be on the front. The back is a good spot but like seamed hosiery have to be placed in the perfect position to gain full mermaid effect.
From a supplier in China, they come in both black and natural. The tail is glittery and sparkly thus giving a shimmery scale feel to it. I love this pattern!
After a day of wear they unfortunately laddered
Fortunately the ladder runs along the mermaid tail and looks like part of the pattern, they also kept falling down and the glitter was a bit scratchy on my skin. They are such a fun pair that I’m going to get another wear out of them especially if I’m a bit clever with the nail varnish.
Hope you all enjoyed APW, I’ve had so much fun doing this week.

New Years Eve
New Years Eve and a day at home for a change this year. Today I am attempting to make homemade ravioli from recipes in my Christmas gift pasta book and my pasta ravioli cutter Christmas gifts. I’m even going to try rolling out the pasta by simple rolling pin rather than pasta machine.
Since it is New Years Eve I could not not wear tights today for this momentous occassion! I’ve chosen a sparkly, glittery fleur de lis stylee pattern pair from George at Asda, part of my Christmas gift assortment from my good friends.
