tights

Au Revoir Gerbe
Au revoir Gerbe!
These lovely tights have made their way onto the stairway of no return. I love the colour, I love the pattern, I love the slippery slidey feeling I get when I walk over a polished floor. I have worn these a few times in the past few weeks. Their first appearance was just before Christmas but now they must be sent to the away due to a hole in the thigh.
Au revoir Gerbe

Next ribbed
So this pair of Next ribbed tights are the last of the batch of tights I bought from the bargain bucket at Next. Brown ribbed did very well. It was a bit chilly and I needed a bit of warmth and the straight ribbed design always gives the appearance of longer legs.

Spots in a Row
What a treat, spots in a row! This pair is from my China batch. Coming up to operation time , my belly was bloated and the only tights comfortable enough for me to wear were brand new pairs.
The spots on these are big and quite fun. The stocking of sheer variety. Problems occurred later in the day when they got a bit tighter around the stomach region and they fell a bit.

Etna is active… again
Etna is active… again. Double meaning in this, one hosiery connected and the other is a personal announcement.
So 1, back in February I wore these Gabrielle Etna tights. It was cold and they were perfect. Etna being active is just another way to say they’re a repeat wear.
2, on a personal level. I started this blog because at the time I had just finished chemotherapy treatment for bowel cancer. I was well and needed a bit of a creative outlet. When this post goes live I will have just had an operation to remove a rather large mass on my ovary which from tests so far the doctors think maybe a bowel secondary. Fingers crossed it’s a bit of cheese! I have saved up some posts which I’ll have scheduled to go live over the next week or so but after that I may be a bit silent due to my recovery and the fact that wearing tights will be a bit uncomfortable and repetitive. As soon as the hosiery wearing restarts posts will reappear. I still have loads of stuff to show you which will also be fun to wear.

Before Iceland
Before Iceland, my 2016 holiday.
It looks like Iceland is the “in” place to go for a holiday and not boasting, this coming trip will be my second. However the days leading up to a visit to the land of fire and ice proved good practise for me. It got cold here in the UK! I had to pull out my woolliest tights which meant all those season award winners had to take a back seat and the elements took precedence. This is one of my standard winter pairs of hosiery worn last year under Winter’s Coming in October, and even though they are starting to look a bit worse for wear with a bit of thinning and the elastic is tightening and so they have shrunk a bit and fall down and crotches are likely to be found around knee level, they look wintery and keep me warm. This may be their last year.

CK back again
CK back again for a gin night out. These crochet patterned CK tights are lovely. I like them a lot. They can be very warming
and I have been struggling with this sudden cold weather. I just can’t get warm. Eventhough fishnets look very draughty I’ve always found them to be able to resist the cold. That’s clever sceince that is!

News from China
Good news from China! I got some more tights!! Woo hoo!
I ordered many pairs of tights from a well known internet site and have finally received one batch. They are a collection of sheer tights in various patterns. They seemed on the smaller side and needed a bit of stretching to feel comfortable, so much stretching I thought it would be my last. There was a lot of pulling up which is never a pretty sight and again adds to the possibilty of hole making.
I like them, no I do like them, but I am a sucker for the price and all those patterns!
