Retracing Missed Opportunities

I am retracing missed opportunities. My phone died on me a few weeks ago and after reinstalling it I lost a couple of pictures. One was a rewear so no need to panic and the other was a record of when I wore a pair of Vera Wang, SimplyVera tights “cluster rose”. They were good. Not specifically a control top pair but with enough lycra to suck you in a little. The pattern was a black rose/floral design on a nude background. Quite an bold look. I thought I would have to schedule another wear as soon as I was fit but no with the aid of my third leg here it is!

Special Guest Appearance Giraffe

I bought this pair of giraffe tights for my friend and have hassled her to wear them for ages. Animal print week was the perfect week to hassle her some more. It also meant I could wear more animal print, in the guise of this pair of snake print that was first worn in Sept.

As stated before the snake skin pair are thought to be Vera Wang control top tights, which really are control top and squeeze you in. The Giraffe print are by Pamela Mann and called fuzzy giraffe, so jealous they didn’t have my size.

Seconds anyone?

Seconds anyone? After a busy weekend and Monday, here are two pairs to sate your appetite.

Sunday helpings was the spotty affair you can see above. Simply Vera by Vera Wang. Control tops to shape you up. I just find that means being squashed up and I feel like Houdini when I’m pulling them up.

Today’s main course is this old pair I’ve pulled out of my drawer. A vertical pattern of links and chains.

Quite difficult to photograph because the design is textured and they’re thick tights.

Later thoughts… Quite soon after putting on the chains and links pair of tights I noticed a little hole. A bit later I noticed another little hole. By the end of the day my tights looked a bit moth ridden with quite a few little holes scattered around my legs. The elastic in these tights had deteriorated and everytime I pulled on them I made a hole. I thought tights could last forever, I was wrong, elastic rots.

Off to see family today so because there are some little uns, I’ve got a “Despicable Me” combo.
My minions pseudostockings from Primark and a “It’s So Fluffy” t shirt also a Primark special.

Later thoughts… Boo hoo! Just ten minutes before leaving the house I noticed a hole in my tights where the black turns into the tan. I had to change! I was NOT happy.

I chose a more modest pair and what made me happy was the way they made me look tall and slim. Go vertical stripes! Tights by Vera Wang from her Simply Vera range in grey with control tops.

The weather is horrible and rainy, so to keep warm and dry I have on a pair of Vera Wang,  grey vertical stripes in black. They are a bit long in the leg for me but the they do have a soft feel to them.

Trying to vary my pictures so trying different orientations.
